I've stayed here twice now. It is an ok hotel. The rooms are clean. The beds aren't the most comfortable but not too bad. The first time I was here the air conditioning in my room wasn't working properly and the staff was very accommodating, offering either to have it fixed or for me to switch rooms. This time, they were doing renovations, which didn't bother me at all. The main issue I have is that the water pressure in the showers is atrocious. If someone in another room flushes the toilet or uses their sink then your water pressure goes down and gets super hot. Even if none of that is going on it's barely enough pressure to shower in.
We are attending a 2day meeting and decided to eat in their restaurant. They provided us an "Express Menu" to use, but even though we were just about first in the restaurant, there was nothing "express" about ordering, and it took a long while to finally get the food. The server mixed up the medium rare hamburger with the medium hamburger even though she thought she got it right. The hamburger tasted ok, but the French fries were awful. The kitchen clearly needs to change the frying oil. This was not worth the cost of the meal. I will not eat here again.
The room was nice but small as were the beds. The breakfast lobby had a nice staff and the food was okay. The hotel seemed to be clean and the front desk employees were super nice and helpful. I would return.
The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from Universal Resorts (including the 2 parks that we went to: Universal and Seaworld). It is situated on a quiet street but only a 10 minute walk to lots of shopping. The hotel is being masterfully and tastefully redecorated. The common areas are very modern and inviting and the rooms are in the process of being renovated. The lobby, the gym, the pool are all well equipped and very inviting. Perhaps what stands out even more than the actual facade is the friendliness and warmth of the entire staff. Everyone that we encountered went out of their way to accommodate and even spoil us with our every wish. It was evident that the culture of the hotel is to offer customer service the likes of which you rarely encounter. I look forward to visiting again in the future .
This hotel is very nice the lobby is picturesque and great for photo shoots. The convention rooms are wonderful and plentiful. Would highly recommend. Only minor complaint would be that the hot tub was not working while I was there
