At the beginning of January I relocated here from the DMV area. I left majority of my furniture there because I thought it would be cost effective to purchase furniture here in Florida. I shopped around at various furniture stores and finally settled on a nice living room group from rooms to go. In addition to the furniture I purchase the protection plan that was to cover against spills. The furniture was delivered uncovered after being transported in a dirty moving truck. Needless to say a few pieces were a mess. I contacted customer service and they quickly exchange the pieces. Fast forward I held a holiday event at my home and one of my guest spilled a unknown substance on my sofa. I called a professional cleaner and him was unable to remove the substance. I remember the protection purchased earlier in the year and contacted Room To Go believing they would be able to resolve this easily. A month later needless to say their attempted at resolution was to send a technician out to take pictures and call me a week later explaining they were going to pick the unit (sofa) up and return it eight days later after exchanging one side for a new side. I questioned how we’re they going to exchange one portion of the sofa with a new portion without there being a noticeable difference between the old and the new, and there not be a noticeable difference between the two. The CSR explained that was what they were willing to do take it or leave it. I explained that was not the explanation or expectation set for after purchasing this protection. The CSR again affirmed the before mentioned. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold. The CSR returned to the line explaining the supervisor confirmed what she had previously stated and what was I going to do. I explained I asked to speak to a supervisor and I still would like to. The CSR placed me on hold again and after 5-7 minutes returned at 4:54 pm explained that the supervisor had left for the day because the service center was closing at 5:00 pm. I was flabbergasted after spending 45 minutes on the phone attempting to resolve a simple issue to end with this outcome. I purchase furniture annually because I am often impressed with the new styles and selections that various manufacturers produce. However, I will never recommend or purchase ANYTHING from Rooms To Go, and will continue to share this experience, unprofessional behavior, refusal to honor the terms of repair or replace portion of the service agreement.
But I have to say, I received my partial delivery of my bed and nightstands (dresser on backorder) and I couldn't be happier with the team that delivered. They were extremely well mannered, informative, and considerate of my walls and closing doors, etc. They put everything together swiftly and were in and out before I could even finish a water bottle!
I recently ordered furniture from this Location: 464 FL-436, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. I had to take my order in two separate deliveries. The first order was the larger order with most of my furniture. I had to miss work due to your delivery service not being able to give me a better time frame than what they did. I was able to plan for that one better, but still had to inconveniently miss some of work that day.
The second order was today it was just for a coffee table and glass. This is where the complaint comes into play. I received a call from your automated system on either Sunday or Monday telling me when my order will be delivered. Well the problem with that is that when they called all it said “this is ROOMS TO GO, we are confirming your delivery.” That’s it nothing else was said, did not tell me any time or date. So I called the delivery center. I called a day in advance to try and reschedule the order so I could be there. I was told that I couldn’t due to the order was already on the truck. That’s when I confirmed my request for a 6:00pm delivery was on my order. I also asked to give me an hour heads up call so I can get from Maitland to Lake Mary. Now I don’t expect whoever is reading this to know how far that is or how I had to get to my house in that time frame. Fact I-4 is the most dangerous stretch of highway in the nation.
This was a refreshing and professional visit. Kimberly is most delightful. Has thorough knowledge of product and pricing. I am very happy she took care of what I was looking for plus. I am pleased to refer her to my family and friends. Merry Christmas.
I love my bedroom set – it's even more beautiful in person and I am definitely happy I purchased it from them! That's why I'm leaving a good review in hopes that it helps someone else who might be a little intimidated.I still have the dresser and mirror to be received in a few weeks and hopefully my experience will be just as good but so far I am a definite new customer!
I am very pleased with my purchase and delivery of my rooms to go bedroom set. My sales lady, Jill, was awesome in Altamonte – attentive, informative, but not overbearing.
Today I get a call at 8:36 AM from the driver telling me he is 10 minutes out from my house. Ten freaking minutes! I told him that to take his time I am on the way! I had to abruptly leave my job to get to my house to accept the delivery. So this in turn is costing me more money. I consider my time very valuable. While I was on my way to my house, guess who calls me. Yup another ROOMS TO GO agent confirming yet again that I have a delivery today. I proceeded to tell this agent what was happening. She said “Well sir you were given a 4 hour window” I told her that I was not!!! Went on to explain the automated call and how I got it. I was about to tell this agent something else when she said something and hung up on me. So ANGELICA I am filling a complaint against this agent due to her hanging up the call on me. I am also complaining that she did not verify who I was on my account when she called.
I must admit I was a bit worried before the delivery because I started reading these reviews. Not many were good. Only a few. But those few gave me some comfort and hoping that I hadn't made a huge mistake in buying from Rooms to Go.
I called right back when she hung up on me. I spoke with Tomeka she put me through to her manager RACHEL BAKER. I had to wait almost 16 mins to speak with Rachel. I informed Rachel of what was going on, she reiterated that I was given a four hour window, when I told her I WAS NOT! I told her that it was ridiculous that ROOMS TO GO can’t abide better to their customers schedule. It seems that I have to work around ROOMS TO GO’s schedule. I am complaining about Rachel and her department. This department’s way of operation seriously inconvenienced me on two separate occasions. I confirmed with other agents prior to delivery on 11/21/17 that my request for a 6:00pm delivery as well as my request for an hour heads up was notated. When I asked the driver he said he didn’t know anything about it. So someone was lying! Why would an agent put in my request if it’s just going to get ignored? That by definition is poor customer service. You would be better off telling your customers that we can’t make any arrangements on deliveries. Now I know that won’t go over well either b/c again that would be poor customer service. So someone needs to get a restrain on this department and its operations! The one thing I am glad about is that all my stuff has been delivered and I will never order from ROOMS TO GO again, that is a promise!
